Marziya's First Ramzan

Marziya celebrates the first Ramzan of her life..
She is now 9 months old, she began walking at the age of 8 month.

Everytime she wants me to take her out , she also makes sure that I have the Canon G9 with me

Ramzan Mubarak

"O you who believe! Observing As-Sawm (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious)" (Al-Baqarah 2:183)

"The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong)." (Al-Baqarah 2:185)

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

The month of Allah (Ramadan) has approached you with His mercy and blessings.Your good deeds are accepted in this month. So are your invocations. Therefore, you must invoke your Lord, in right earnest, with hearts that are free from sins and evils, that Allah may bless you, observe fast, in this month, and recite the Holy Qur'an

Verily! The person who may not receive the mercy and benevolence of Allah in this month must be very unfortunate having an end as bad (in the Hereafter). While fasting, remember the hunger and thirst of tomorrow in Qiyamat.. Give alms to the poor and the needy. Pay respects to your elders.

Have pity on those younger than you and be kind towards your relatives and kinsmen. Guard your tongues against unworthy words, and your eyes from such scenes that are not worth seeing (forbidden) and your ears from such sounds that should not be heard by you.

Be kind to orphans so that when your children become orphans they also may be treated with kindness. Do invoke that Allah may forgive your sins. Do raise your hands at the time of Salat (Prayers), as it is the best time for asking His mercy. When we invoke at such times, we are answered by Him, when we call Him, He responds, and when we ask for anything, it is accepted by Him.

A believer looks forward to the month of Ramadhan. He enjoys the beauty of spirit that Ramadhan begins, the warmth of carrying out the orders of Allah, the hope of achieving His pleasure, and the happiness at being able to obey the commands of Allah. He is happy when the month arrives and sad when it departs.

Ramadhan requires that we set aside more time than normal for worship and prayers. A believer plans his time in such a way that in Ramadhan he is not overwhelmed by the demands of the world. He lessens work if possible and cuts down on activities which can be put to a halt for a little while. The chance to earn rewards and blessings from Allah in this special time will only last a limited time. Believers must make sure their daily schedules allow maximum benefit of this special time..

An important part of worship in Ramadhan includes reciting the Qur'an regularly. A Hadith tells us, Ramadhan is the Spring of the Qur'an. Understanding the word of Allah, and pondering over it should be daily activities in this holy month. A believer makes sure he has a copy of the Qur'an which is easy to read, and which has a simple translation which he can understand. If time permits, he should also read the commentary of the Qur'an. It is also important to have the right books for the Duas and A`amaals for this month.

Ramadhan is the best time to donate in the way of Allah. To feed the hungry or give to the needy is an act of great reward, especially during the holy month. Before the month of Ramadhan, a believer decides how much he can afford to give, chooses a worthwhile charity and sends his donation. This is a recommended charity, different from the zakatul Fitra which is obligatory for Eid. Hadith tells us that charity cools the anger of Allah and brings down many blessings on the giver. In the month of Ramadhan this rewards is multiplied many times.

Fastings is not mere abstinence from food and drink, as we have heard many times. It is also staying away from all sins. While fasting, all the organs of the body fast, and refrain from doing anything which would displease Allah. A believer makes a firm decision to avoid all sins that he commits most often, and plans how he will stay away from them during the month. This conscious preparation of a war against sins is a very necessary item in the baggage of a believer in his journey towards Allah

In his sermon at the approach of the holy month of Ramadhan, the Prophet (s) said: Whoever lightens the work of his workers in this month, Allah will make easy his accounting on the Day of Judgement. This does not only apply to those who have workers working for them. To help and lessen the work of others: parents, siblings, relatives, friends, etc. during the holy month is an act of great virtue. It eases the load of the other person, and brings about kindness and affection. Cooperating and assisting one another is greatly loved by Allah.

The real aim of fasting is to purify the soul from forbidden desires and customs. Reaching such an aim depends upon renouncing bad habits, and holding on to them is a form of slavery.

Imam Zaynul Abidin (a): The right of charity is that you know that it is a storing way with your Lord, and a deposit for which you will have no need of witnesses. If you deposit it in secret, you will be more confident of it than if you deposit it in public. You should know that it repels affliction and illnesses from you in this world and it will repel the fire from you in the next world. REF: Risalatul Huqooq by Imam Zaynul Abidin (a)

World of Pain Shot By Marziya Shakir 4 Year Old

Ma Yeh Tumhara Haq Hai..

My Grandkids Giving Eidi To The Muslim Beggar Kid- Eid Mubarak To All Of You

Eid Mubarak To All Of You Peace Joy Hope Happiness .. Not Just Assam Burma but for all of Suffering Humanity ..

World Photography Day Greetings Shot By Marziya Shakir 4 Year Old Canon EOS 60D

What is World Photography Day if you only invent new cameras and dont create new photographers , I got a gift of photography very late in life first nurtured by my Guru Shreekanth Malushte , he taught me the basics .. than came Late Prof BW Jatkar I learnt more processing printing wet lab and he introduced me to the Ultimate Guru of Life Mr KG Maheshwariji .. this was my humble beginning as a photographer in the right sense.

What all my three gurus taught me , I collected on a silver platter and gave it as their humble offerings to my first grandchild Marziya Shakir ..I taught her the essence of humility through the camera lens as seen on the viewfinder of the human soul.

I exposed my first grand daughter to life unseen by children of her age the result is in the set at Flickr dedicated to her talent and her creativity.

Than on 17 July on my eldest son Asif Shakirs birthday father of Marziya a new photographer entered or house I called her the Google+ kid as she was launched on Google+ and endeared hersel to all my friends there. Nerjis Asif Shakir ..

I removed the Google+ tag once I moved out from Google+ my grand daughters moved out too , they are both on Facebook on a deactivated account ..I wont be able to manage 3 accounts ..

So this is Marziya Shakirs shot middle of the road and Nerjis looks at life they both paid the Muslim beggar , she knows me very well all Muslim beggars or beggars in general know me my grand children.. we do what we can we give but sadly we cant rehabilitate them.

And this picture was shot a day back and tomorrow is Eid they will be there waiting for alms do you know Muslim beggars dont celebrate Eid this is the only day they work overtime.. this is the beggars box office day ..Ek Tha Beggar ..

People , photographers with fine tuned photography seldom dont shoot beggars we beg to differ all three Shakir street photographers shoot beggars children of a lesser God...

So 19 August 2012 people will celebrate as World Photography Day..we celebrate it too ..

I shall skip the poem this time..

Begging is not a crime held held within the throes of a broken rhyme .. they give a million blessing you miser give a dime .. we shoot space add virtual time ..

World Photography Day At My House - Marziya Shot By Nerjis Asif Shakir 1 Year Old

I have to hold the camera Canon EOS 60D but the strap of the camera is around the neck my one year old grand daughter Nerjis Asif Shakir , she thinks without the strap around her neck the camera wont work, next comes her fingers on the shutter , she knows the shutter very well..

And shooting the streets and home is her practice sessions ..I have nurtured her on the camera first the toy one and gradually the real one .

Marziya Shakir learnt photography on the Nikon D 80 because I was broke and could not switch over to Canon.. with Gods grace I did selling both my crappy Nikons as junk.

I got the Canon EOS 7 D as a gift and Marziya Shakir 4 year old began shooting on it, I borrowed got her the Canon EOS 60D a lighter camera as the 7D has a vertical grip which makes it more heavier.

Nerjis Asif Shakir 1 year old loves cameras , both of them.. and each shot she takes I make her see it on the monitor .

My grand children are seeing the world through the camera viewfinder , they see feel the pain of the beggar , they give their pocket money to a lady down the road called the Umbrella Lady of Bandra Reclamation.

And my grandchildren are not intimidated by big lenses or celebrity photographers .. but one divine lesson I taught them through photography is humility the one and only essence of humanity. So Happy World Photography Day from the Camera Crazy Shakirs of Bandra.

My Grand Children Are On Twitter Too Old For Facebook

My Grand Children are Indibloggers ..

Grand Pa .. We Shoot Better Than You ..

Two Street Photographers Canon 60 D Users

Marziya and the Homeless Kids

This is Marziya , deeply concerned I can read the message in her eyes , she knows something is amiss with the kids, I gave them some money, but than it is not a solution that ends their misery..
They are workers forced into beggary , all part of a system that exists but who cares anyway.

This is one picture of Marziya that has got deeply embedded in my own painful consciousness .

At home she is always shouting Ya Ali or beating her chest with both hands crying out Ya Hussain Ya Hussain.

But what scares me the most when she puts her hand on her forehead and begins moving an imaginary blade over her face..

She has never seen or has ever been exposed to Moharam rituals , not even on TV .

So I know she is a very gifted child..

I have absolutely stopped shooting her pictures , but today I took these few.

Marziya and the Street Kids

I shot this at Linking Road Bandra, I wanted Marziya to feel the warmth of the homeless kids..in their eyes there is Hope .

These are kids I know when they were just a few days old drugged , on the waist of other kids forced into commercial beggary..

They all grew up at the Turner Road Traffic Signal.

They had been driven away from there , so now they sit at the more lucrative hub Linking Road Bandra.

But each one of them knows me, they become child mothers themselves barely 14 years old, but they still see me with the coyness of their toddler days..

Ever since I relocated my shop I hardly see them, today was a rare occasion.
