This evening I decided to take my eldest granddaughter Marziya Shakir to Mount Mary Fair 2015  ..earlier I had taken her sister 4 year old Nerjis Asif Shakir ,,a friend dropped us at Mehboob Studios on his bike ,,we first met Mohomed Bhai of Good Luck Irani Restaurant  Marziya shot his pictures he offered me  black coffee and he offered Marziya an icecream  sandwich ,,than we continued this time I let Marziya shoot the candle stalls flower candle kids and the interiors too, as I know most of the volunteers we get to go from the front side entrance that leads to the main altar , from there to Marys Clan shooting the shops below and than I let Marziya enjoy herself on the various rides at the Mount Mary Fair ,, I shot videos too.. we were there close to 3 hours on the way we passed the MET Tennis courts Marziya shot Coach Surendra Pawar and played some tennis too..

Today Is Marziya Shakirs Birthday ,, She Is 7 Now

Because we are in Mourning for Moharam we celebrated Marziyas 7 birthday in August .. but she was born today 24 November at Holy Family Hospital.

Today the kids were very upset as I had invited Maya and Thomas the Graffiti painters from Switzerland for lunch at 4 pm.. but both did not turn up and I did not have their number.

Because all 3 grandkids love painting and creativity Maya has become their inspiration.

I guess they must have had some problem as the crane was not there  near the building they are painting in my area.

I was in town today thought i would pick up something for her but I was packed with work...I was carrying a lot of stuff for one of my clients ..

Today has been one of my craziest busy hectic days ..

And after this I am going to crash.. I have a lot of work tomorrow too...

Marziya Shakir Memories Stored As Love

This is Marziya Shakir my first grand child , I shot over 15000 images of her from the second day of her birth , many are private ,I think  I kept my love for photography alive by training my lens on Marziya .

I tried to miss nothing Marziyas love for drawing art and craft , her love for animals her love for life her compassion for beggars and slum kids ,,

Much of her pocket money she gave to a homeless lady called Umbrella Lady of Bandra Reclamation who passed away unsung recently,

Marziya is now  year old.. and has come a long way .

Aviary is stll not saving my edited version of the colored image so I am manually saving it as PNG File and posting the same as a new upload .

Marziya Shakirs 7 Birthday

Marziya Shakirs birthday is 24 November .

But we are in Moharam time and in mourning so we celebrated her birthday on 7 October .
It was a very simple birthday part with a few of Marziyas childhood friends her best friend Mehrin Mukadam was at her grandmother house and Marziya missed her the most.

Zinnia Fatima was missing she has left for her mothers hometown for a holiday.

Marziya Shakir And Lucky The Labrador

Lucky and Marziya have literally grown up together , he was a pup belonging to Omkar Shelar son of Advocate Ashish Shelar.

Marziya bossed over him from a very early age , and amazingly Lucky was so well behaved that he never jumped or barked , when Marziya came back from holidays he would eagerly wait for her and Marziya gave him her share of biscuits .

As Marziya grew he watched her from far , and these are photos I documented of their friendship..and Lucky is still around . six years from the first time I shot him with Marziya .

So animals have a very special bonding with kids ,,and in another part of a world away thousands of miles away from Marziya and Lucky in Ann Arbor was Jeff Lamb eminent photographer and his dog Sonny ,, who would favorite Marziyas and Luckys pictures ,and this was another form of Love , a mystical love today Jeff is no more alive but his love for my grand daughter has given a tremendous ethereal strength I have tears in my eyes as I wrrite these words and really this post is dedicated to Jeff andLeyla Lau-Lamb.
